There are three principal methods for finding a court case in Hendricks County: searching online, visiting the clerk’s office, and submitting a written request by mail.

Online Searching Through MyCase

  • Date of birth

To perform a search:

  1. Navigate to the MyCase portal.
  2. Select the “Name” or “Attorney” tab.
  3. Enter the required search fields, including name and date of birth if available.
  4. Use the “Advanced search option” link for additional filtering.
  5. Click “Search” to view matching results.

Not all case types appear on MyCase. Confidential filings, sealed records, and certain categories excluded under the Indiana Rules on Access to Court Records will not be displayed. The depth of available records also varies by court and time period.

  • All mental health cases filed pursuant to IC 12-26
  • Investigative requests and processes unrelated to a pending criminal proceeding, such as search warrants
  • Records declared confidential by federal or Indiana statute

Additionally, personal identifiers such as complete Social Security numbers and account numbers must be redacted from filings. Addresses, dates of birth, and phone numbers of witnesses and victims in criminal, juvenile, or protection order proceedings are also excluded. Documents containing confidential information must be filed on green paper (for paper filings) or as confidential documents (for e-filings), accompanied by an ACR Form that identifies the specific Rule 5 ground for exclusion.

Persons seeking access to records that have been excluded from public view may petition the court in accordance with Rule 9 of the Indiana Rules on Access to Court Records.
